Feel the fear and do it anyway

In our work lives and personal lives, we take risks. Generally, they are well-informed and contain some planning, but they are still actions taken with a level of uncertainty about the outcome.

From rock climbing to parenthood to motorsport, our team always has some interesting stories to share on a Monday morning. Taking risks, and pushing ourselves to grow and expand is our normal.

Throughout 2022, bellette worked with a wide variety of organisations and individuals to develop and produce brand identities, formal reports, illustrations, animations, and websites. We filmed, photographed, wrote, and designed for a myriad of creative outcomes.

Opening your business or organisation to an external team can be intimidating. It takes trust that you are communicating and sharing the ‘vision’; that providing information, thoughts and ideas is being received, respected and incorporated.

The creative process is more analytical than it might seem. A logo, video or social media post requires understanding and application of context, purpose and goals, alongside the ability to imagine and create.

Each time we commence a project and meet a client, there is a moment of pause. Bringing a discussion of a concept to life, whilst ensuring industry best practices and adventurous design, can be intimidating. The fear of the blank page, the fear of the client hating it – after all, art is subjective.

While most fresh-faced creatives start out with this fear, it lessens over time. Confidence grows, and you don’t worry so much about the rejection – you learn that often a client doesn’t really know what they want until they see what they don’t want. So it’s better to just get them something to start you both off. Working as a creative means making peace with the fear and finding enjoyment and satisfaction in a job well done. Milestone by milestone, at each step in the process, guided by a brief and feedback.

Our skills, abilities and experience are applied to ensure each project is unique and that each client is happy with our work. We feel the fear, fear of rejection, of not being good enough, of missing the mark….and we do it anyway.

If you’re running an organisation or working in Alice Springs, you already know the score: staff shortages are biting, and the talent pool is more like a puddle. With vacancy rates soaring and everyone scrambling for the same handful of great people, how do you stand out? Here’s a hint: it’s not another dry job ad or a dusty careers page. It’s video. Why Film Your Training Day? (Hint: It’s Not Just for the Memories) Let’s get real. Training days are where your culture shines. They’re the moments when your team learns, laughs, and bonds. But if you’re not capturing that energy on video, you’re missing a golden opportunity especially in Alice Springs, where word of mouth is everything and Local Government roles need to look more appealing than ever. A professionally filmed training day does more than tick a compliance box. It shows potential recruits what it’s really like to work with you. It’s proof that you invest in your people, that you care about growth, and that your team is more than just a list of names on a roster. Alice Springs: Small Town, Big Competition Let’s face it: Alice Springs isn’t Sydney or Melbourne. The talent pool is small, and your organisation is competing with every other sector for the same skilled people. When you’re staring down a 40% vacancy rate, you need every edge you can get. That’s where video comes in. A slick, authentic training day video lets you: Showcase your real team (not just stock photos) Highlight your values and culture (the stuff that actually matters to job seekers) Scale your word of mouth (because video travels faster than gossip in the Todd Tavern) What Makes People Move? (Spoiler: It’s Not Just the Pay) People don’t move to Alice Springs—or switch jobs—just for a pay cheque. They want to know they’ll belong, be supported, and have a chance to grow. A great video answers those questions in seconds. It shows your team’s energy, your commitment to training, and the real faces behind your organisation. Video: Your Recruitment Secret Weapon In 2026, video isn’t a “nice to have”—it’s your best bait in a small pond. Here’s why: Emotional connection: Video lets candidates feel your vibe before they even apply. Stand out online: Social feeds are crowded. A dynamic, authentic video grabs attention and sticks. Build trust: People want to see the real deal, not just read about it. Ready to Fill Those Seats? If you’re serious about attracting top talent to your Alice Springs Local Government team, stop telling and start showing. Film your next training day. Make it real, make it fun, make it Bellette. Because in a small town, you need the best bait. And in 2026, that’s video. Want to see how it’s done? Get in touch and let’s make your next training day the recruitment magnet you need. It’s not too late to start January 2026 with a full team.

Want reach? Start with video. Algorithms love it. Audiences watch it. And when it’s done right, video is the fastest way to cut through the scroll and stop thumbs mid-swipe. At bellette , we’ve seen it firsthand. Our top Facebook video hit 34,200 views in a single quarter . That’s not hype — that’s proof. Why Video Works Video combines visuals, sound and story — three things our brains are wired to respond to. It grabs attention, holds it, and builds connection faster than any static post ever could. But it’s more than just moving pictures. Video shows personality. It gives people a sense of who you are, what you stand for, and why they should care. Whether it’s a quick social snippet, animated motion graphic, or full-scale campaign capture, video makes your brand feel human. And that’s what people remember. If You’re Not Using Video, You’re Missing Half the Room In a feed full of noise, still images get skimmed. Words get skipped. Video gets watched. If you’re not using it, you’re effectively invisible to half your audience — and probably the half most likely to engage. Video doesn’t just boost your visibility; it amplifies your results. More clicks. More shares. More recognition. Ready to Be Seen? It’s time to put your brand in motion — literally. Let’s roll. We’ll capture your story and make it famous. Get in touch today . If your content plan is “post something — anything,” you don’t have a plan. Random posting is the fastest way to waste time online. You might get a like here, a comment there — but without a clear direction, those quick wins fade fast. No consistency. No story. No results. A proper content strategy flips that completely. Instead of shouting into the void, every post works towards something bigger. Your visuals, your tone, your timing — all aligned with your goals and your audience. That’s when your content starts to click. Your reach grows. Your brand becomes recognisable. Because strategy isn’t about posting more — it’s about posting smarter. It’s what turns “we should post something” into “wow, that actually worked.” Strategy saves time. Builds trust. Delivers results. And honestly, it’s way more fun when your content starts performing like it’s supposed to. Stop guessing. Start performing. We’ll make you famous for the right reasons.
